All-District Chorus Brings Festive Cheer with Annual Winter Concert Celebration at December Board Me

During the Elmont Board of Education meeting on Dec. 9, the Clara H. Carlson School auditorium filled with an unmistakable sense of excitement as community members, faculty and board representatives came together for the annual Winter Concert Celebration.
This much-loved tradition showcases the All-District Chorus, uniting close to 100 sixth graders from all six school buildings. The group held only one full rehearsal before presenting their impressive performance.
The scholars opened the concert with a festive rendition of “Jingle Bell Dash,” a playful twist on the beloved holiday classic. Their second piece, “Angels in the Snow,” shifted to a slower tempo, capturing the students’ longing for a winter snowfall. The concert program concluded with an upbeat and joyful performance of “Holidays Are for All of Us,” earning a standing ovation from the smiling audience.
The success of the show is a testament to the dedication of the district’s music educators: Ginta Bukauskas at Alden Terrace School, Daniell Dorsainvill at Clara H. Carlson School, Sheryl Turk at Covert Avenue School, Nicolette Vignogna at Dutch Broadway School, Anthony Pino at Gotham Avenue School and Aidan Timko at Stewart Manor School.
