Dutch Broadway School Students Celebrate Holiday Season with ‘Snow-Gaza!’

Students visiting an outdoor petting zoo thumbnail263544

Dutch Broadway School hosted an unforgettable day of fun and holiday cheer, Snow-Ganza! on December 12. From Pre-K to sixth grade, the Elmont scholars enjoyed a whirlwind of winter wonderland activities that brought the magic of the holidays to life.

All students visited an outdoor petting zoo, where adorable sheep, playful goats and fluffy alpacas – dressed in their holiday finest – stole the show. Ducks, chickens and rabbits also joined the fun, as students learned how to gently pet and care for these lovable animals. Along with the outdoor petting zoo, students frolicked in snow created by LI Foam, while enjoying a high-energy dance party.

Back inside, the gymnasium was transformed into a holiday wonderland, bursting with festive activities. Younger students tapped into their creativity by decorating ornaments and cookies while sipping on delicious hot chocolate. They also cozied up in the school library for a read aloud of “How to Catch a Snowman” by Adam Wallace. Meanwhile, the older students embraced the festive spirit by bonding over friendly board game competitions in the afternoon.

This spectacular event was made possible by the efforts and generosity of the school’s PTA.
