Throughout May, the Community Gallery at the Long Island Children’s Museum proudly featured artwork from talented Elmont scholars. This districtwide exhibit showcased a vibrant array of student creations, reflecting their exploration of diverse art movements, techniques and influential artists. Guided by their dedicated art teachers, students from each school contributed dynamic and expressive pieces that highlight the creativity fostered throughout the school year.
The exhibit, which was on display from May 1-30, culminated in a celebratory reception held on May 23. During the event, students were recognized for their artistic accomplishments by distinguished guests, including New York State Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages, Long Island Children’s Museum President Ms. Suzanne Floreska and Superintendent of Schools Mr. Marlon C. Small. The Elmont community takes immense pride in its young artists and applauds their talent, passion and dedication to the arts.
